Jessica Vignali Moya, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#64722). I received both a Bachelor’s in Social Work (2008) and Master’s in Social Work (2010) from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA.
While I have been licensed for 11 years, I have over 16 years of experience in the field of social work. I have the privilege of working with various populations from young children to adults in their journeys through life with LGBTQ+ identities, varying socioeconomic status, multicultural experiences, and religious backgrounds.
I learned a lot through my work with adolescents in group homes in Hollywood, play-based therapy with children throughout LA County, individuals connected to the forensic system and returning to the community in the San Fernando Valley, and with the Correctional Health System to support individuals experiencing severe mental health needs.
I find it valuable to explore thought work and consider how thoughts are impacting our functioning. This helps to then gain tools and skills on how we can intervene and support ourselves for long-lasting growth. I take on a Feminist approach to recognize how power and oppression impacts our lives and we can gain tools to disrupt and endeavor for change. I strive to partner with individuals and provide an affirming space as we journey together towards healing, growth, and acceptance. I believe it is important to be seen as our authentic selves and doing so encourages healing. This also shines a light on our strengths and empowers us to use those strengths to the best of our abilities.
